Dr. Eddie Sturgis is an entrepreneur, businessman and a motivational speaker. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian College of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1975 majoring in Psychology and Business Administration. Since then he has held many positions in the business world which has given him a solid background in the business arena
He began his career working for International Telephone and Telegraph for two years as Communications Consultant. Later was involved in large-scale manufacturing and management at Seagate Technologies, a high tech industries company sitting on the cutting edge of new technologies.
Sturgis began spreading his entrepreneurial wings entering the small business arena. Venturing into the insurance industry, he built a life insurance and investment agency in the early 1980’s. He created a communication company that acquired a long distance business with national accounts, which he later sold to communications giant AT&T. He also built a high-end clothing store in his Oklahoma City community called New York Fashion Outlet.
With his success he extended his expertise to help young people finance their education launching—College Funds America—a company that researches and finds scholarships and grant money for high school seniors needing money to attend college.
In recent years, he has led and mentored a large general agency that now numbers more than 15,000 Associates located across the United States and Canada. Continuing to share and give back, Dr. Sturgis developed a public speaking career that includes motivational and business development training, coupled with speaking engagements that provides business seminars with youths in schools and church congregations.
In May of 2010, he was the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by Agape Bible College for his collective work in human development in the business field.
